“I’m coming to visit.”
_____’s eyes went wide as she heard her boyfriend’s voice on the other end of the phone. It was the first conversation she had had with Ludwig in almost two months. “What?” she said in disbelief.
“I’m coming with Alfred, Feliciano, und mein bruder to visit you.”
“When?”
“We have a flight scheduled for Friday night,” he said simply. “It should land at your airport on Saturday morning.”
_____ still couldn’t believe what Ludwig was saying, and she blinked several times. She even had the urge to pinch herself, but decided against it. “Okay,” she said, a smile tugging at her lips.
Ludwig smiled warmly, understanding how big of a shock this was to her. “Well, I suppose we’ll see you the airport, ja?”
“Y-Yeah. . .”
“Güt.”
_____ smirked. “I’ll wear something sexy.”
“Ja, right!” shouted Gilbert on the other end, having apparently heard her. “Like you of all people would wear something sexy!”
“I have something along those lines, thank you very much, Gil!” she retorted.
“A deep V t-shirt und blue jeans don’t count, schwester!”
“I’m not talking about that! Now put my man back on the line!”
Gilbert laughed and handed the phone back to Ludwig. “So, schatz,” said the German, “I’ll be there Saturday.” _____ heard him sigh softly. “I can’t wait to see you again.”
_____ smiled. “I can’t wait to see you again, too, liebe.” She stopped when she heard her mother calling her. “I have to go now. I’ll see you guys then.”
“Right. Und _____?”
“Yeah?”
“Ich liebe dich.”
She smiled warmly. “Ich liebe dich auch. Bis später.” She hung up and walked out of her room to see what her mother wanted.
When _____ came back into her room a few minutes later, she realized the full impact of her phone call she had had. Her boyfriend was coming to visit. He would be there in a matter of days. She could finally see him again. She and Ludwig had been in a long-distance relationship the whole time they were dating. He went to school and lived most of the year in Italy, and _____, well, to put it simply, didn’t. The thought of him coming to visit made her completely ecstatic.
Her smile widened, and she laughed with glee. She had to stop herself from squealing, thinking that that was for obsessed girly-girls, which she was definitely not. Then she blinked, remembering what Gilbert had said about her usual wardrobe. She stepped over to her closet and opened the door. She knew exactly what she was looking for, but wasn’t sure where it would be or if it was even still in there.
“I’ll show you, ya’ little whitey,” she muttered. She smirked when she finally found the article of clothing she was looking for. “Oh, there you are~!” she said to herself and pulled it out of the closet, holding it to her body as she looked at herself in a wall mirror in her room. Yep. It could still fit. She would definitely wear that, and she easily picked out shoes for it. Now to solve the problem about her hair.
_____ lay the clothing on her bed and looked at her face in the mirror. She ran her fingers through her short, boyish-cut hair. It was too short to really mess with too much. So she decided she would just straighten it to make it match the outfit.
She sighed. She had figured out how to prepare outwardly, but now came the inward preparation. The long-distance relationship she had with Ludwig had affected her, especially when it came to contacting him. When she told her friends she had a boyfriend, most of them looked at her in disbelief, and some would scoff and say things like, “Oh, yeah? Then where is he?” She would tell them that he was German and stayed in Italy for schooling, but they would never believe her. They simply thought she made up the whole idea of a boyfriend and was only using it for attention.
_____ smirked. “Well, I’ll just have to show them, too.”

“Bruder, don’t forget your bag.”
Gilbert rolled his eyes as he picked up his suitcase from the baggage area in the airport. “Ja, I knew that, West,” he lied. The albino walked up to his brother, who already had his suitcase in his hands. “See her yet?” he asked, slinging his suitcase over his shoulder.
Ludwig looked around the airport, brows furrowed. “Nein.”
Gilbert patted the blonde’s shoulder and walked past him.
“Yo, dudes! Find _____ yet?!” called Alfred as he and Feliciano joined Ludwig.
“Not yet,” he replied curtly, still looking around.
“D-Do you think. . .maybe sorella forgot or something?” said Feliciano as he grasped his suitcase tighter.
Alfred felt his cell phone vibrate in his pocket, and he took it out to see what it was. “Hey guys,” he said to the other three, still looking at the phone screen. “_____ just texted me that she’s here. . .right outside.” He pressed a button on his phone. “Oh, new text. She said that she’s in the main lobby.”
The four men, having retrieved their belongings, headed for the airport lobby. They spent several minutes looking for her there, and eventually split up in hopes of finding her that way. Ludwig, a few moments after splitting up, noticed something out of the corner of his eye. He turned his head and had to do a double take. He stared at the girl in his vision with wide eyes. She wore a bright yellow sun dress that went down to her knees with heeled shoes and a light shrug to match, and her short hair was straightened neatly on her head. Her hands were held together in front of her as she fiddled with her fingers.
Ludwig stared at his girlfriend in disbelief. “_____. . .?”
_____ smiled at him. “Hi, Luddy.”
He slowly stepped toward her, stopping when he was mere inches from her. He eyed her, still trying to take everything in. “_____. . .You look. . .”
“Different?” Her hand found its way to the back of her head as a bright pink colored her cheeks. “I know. I just. . .wanted to look nice for you, Luddy. . .”
Before she could react, _____ was lifted into the air and twirled around in Ludwig’s arms. He twirled her once and stopped, just holding her tightly. “You would look beautiful without all of this,” he whispered into her hair.
_____’s arms wrapped around his neck and nuzzled it. “I missed you, Luddy.”
Ludwig sighed. “I missed you, too, liebe.”
The two stiffened when they heard a wolf-whistle near them. They turned to see the other three men standing together. Gilbert and Alfred were smirking as they let out whistles and cat-calls.
_____ raised an eyebrow at them, a smirk crawling on her face. “So, how’d I do?”
The albino grinned. “Not exactly sexy, but. . . I give it an eight out of ten.”
“Lookin’ good, _____,” said Alfred. "Nice job on the make-up, too."
“Oh, sorella!” said Feliciano as he beamed at her. “You look beautiful!”
“Really?” She smoothed down the skirt of her dress.
“Sì! Molto bella!” He took the hem of the dress in his fingers.
_____ laughed nervously. “I kept thinking I looked like a giant daffodil.”
“Hey!” Alfred pointed to something near her. “You even did your nails!”
“Huh?” _____ lifted her hand and displayed her neatly manicured fingernails, which were filed down to perfect French tips. “Oh, yeah. I went to the nail salon and got my hands done.”
“Now that’s something you don’t hear come out of your mouth on a regular basis,” said Alfred. “So how’d you like that?”
_____ groaned. “Never again. They completely got rid of my writing callous! Now it’s gonna hurt like hell to hold a freaking pencil!”
He chuckled, patting her head. “They do your feet, too?”
“Mm-hm. Got rid of my walking callouses, too.” She sighed. “Why do girls feel the need to make their feet hurt like hell to make them hurt even more?”
“Because they think that will make them look ‘pretty’,” commented Ludwig.
_____ shook her head. “I swear. . .”
Ludwig gently entwined his fingers with hers. “They are fools for thinking that pain is beautiful,” he whispered in her ear.
“I agree,” chimed Feliciano, having heard the German. “No one should inflict harm on themselves just to look ‘attractive’.” He smiled sweetly. “Like my grandpa always used to say: Bellezza è sotto la superficie. Beauty is below the surface.”
_____ smiled warmly at him, then looped her free arm in his and pulled him and her boyfriend closer to her. “C’mon, y’all. Let’s go back to my place.”
_____’s eyes went wide as she heard her boyfriend’s voice on the other end of the phone. It was the first conversation she had had with Ludwig in almost two months. “What?” she said in disbelief.

ScotlandxReader: Too Good For You

His green eyes shut once more, an aggravated breath escaping his lips. Last night, his little brother was dragged home, drun

Ha! My writing callous is just part of my finger. No matter how many manicures I get (they're nice on occasion), it's not going anywhere!!!
It's not as rough as it used to be, because I do almost all of my writing on my laptop--in college, most professors let you use your laptop in class--so I only really use pencils when I draw.
But it's still there. This big bump on the side of my middle finger. It's been there since I was 11.
